Shenzhen's Luohu promotes investment cooperation with Beijing
On May 22, the "Shenzhen Venture Capital Day" event was held in Beijing, highlighting industry innovation and fostering new quality productive forces, and attracting over 200 companies and 350 attendees. The event aimed to enhance the venture capital ecosystem and promote industrial collaboration between Shenzhen and Beijing. Shenzhen Venture Capital Day has already gathered more than 6,000 venture capital institutions, facilitated significant fund agreements totaling over 100 billion yuan. Focused on innovative technologies, companies, and capital, the event promoted complementary strengths between Beijing's financial sector and Shenzhen's high-tech industry.
Significant collaborations included a memorandum of understanding between Luohu and People’s Daily Online to promote AI and the "828 Giants Harbor" platform for innovative small and medium-sized companies. Luohu District emphasized its robust industrial structure based on finance, commerce, business services, and strategic emerging industries, offering high investment value with support in space, policy, and funding. The district aims to boost financial and high-tech industry links between Beijing and Shenzhen.
By the first quarter of 2024, Shenzhen hosted 1,700 private equity and venture capital management firms, managing over 1.5 trillion RMB, and investing in 13,000 innovative enterprises nationwide. Luohu's strategic focus includes attracting top-tier enterprises with core technologies, cultivating specialized and innovative enterprises and projects, developing foundational research platforms, and supportive policies to promote financial development and digital RMB.
As the birthplace of Shenzhen’s financial sector, Luohu leverages its significant funding and institutional advantages, collaborating with major state-owned enterprises, leading venture capital institutions, and international funds to optimize its investment environment and build a future-oriented, innovation-driven urban industrial system.
