Luohu ranks 7th nationwide in county-level government transparency
On May 21, the 2023 China Government Transparency Index Report was released in Beijing, ranking Luohu District seventh among county-level governments nationwide. Luohu has ranked among the top ten for five consecutive years.
Released by the Center for National Index of Rule of Law under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the report evaluated government transparency across areas such as democratic decision-making, business environment optimization, standardized government management, public welfare information disclosure, and public platform and mechanisms construction. It assessed 48 State Council departments, 31 provincial governments, 106 municipal governments, and 120 county-level governments.
Luohu District’s success in government transparency stems from its consistent efforts in line with directives from the central and local governments. The district has enhanced coordination, enriched content, improved platforms, and strengthened public interaction to achieve high-quality government transparency.
Luohu's key initiatives include the "Plan for Deepening Government Transparency to Support High-Quality Development," which outlines 17 tasks, promoting standardized and practical transparency practices. Luohu has also intensified information disclosure, sharing about 23,092 pieces of information through its government website and over 4,000 posts through new media platforms, reaching over 20 million people in total.
Luohu has innovated integrated services for various scenarios, upgraded search functions, enhanced opinion solicitation, and increased public participation in major decision-making, making policies more understandable.
Looking ahead, Luohu District aims to further enhance government transparency, policy interpretation, and public engagement, ultimately facilitating businesses and citizens and supporting the district’s high-quality development.
