Luohu expands global economic ties
Recently, Fan Defan, secretary of the Luohu District Committee of the Communist Party of China, led a delegation to Qatar, Brazil, and Chile to promote economic exchanges and attract foreign investment to Shenzhen, particularly Luohu.
During the trip, the Luohu delegation visited and met with 18 renowned companies and institutions, including the Brazilian Jewelry and Precious Metals Association and Cencosud Group in Chile. They also held three meetings, introducing Luohu’s business environment, industrial advantages, and future development potential to representatives from over 300 companies, exploring opportunities for cooperation in key industrial sectors and reaching several investment cooperation intentions.
On May 9-10, upon arriving in Qatar, the Luohu delegation visited the Qatar Financial Centre, and the Qatar World Trade Centre, engaging in in-depth discussions on investment, finance, and consumer sectors. Additionally, at the China (Shenzhen Luohu) - Qatar (Doha) Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange held on May 9, the delegation comprehensively promoted areas such as smart city development, green energy, and finance, signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two key enterprises.
From May 11-14, the delegation went to Brazil, where they met with the S?o Paulo city government and other official institutions. They visited several organizations and companies in the gold and jewelry sector, creating a platform for high-quality enterprise exchanges and cooperation.
On May 13, in S?o Paulo, they hosted an economic cooperation exchange focused on "Gold Jewelry & Cross-Border Trade," attracting over 200 representatives from the political and business sectors. During the event, the Luohu delegation signed MoUs with key Brazilian gold jewelry enterprises, and the Optimize Integration Group reached a cooperation intention worth 1 billion yuan with two major Brazilian companies.
From May 14-17, the delegation arrived in Chile and paid visit to Cencosud, a leading Latin American retail company. They also met with various government institutions and associations, such as the Chilean Trade Promotion Bureau and the Chile-China Chamber of Commerce, strengthening cooperation in cross-border trade and e-commerce.
On May 16, in Santiago, they held an economic cooperation exchange themed "Cross-Border Trade & Modern Services," drawing over 200 attendees from government and companies. The Luohu delegation’s efforts significantly bolstered international cooperation, paving the way for future investments and strengthening economic ties with Qatar, Brazil, and Chile.
