Luohu promotes medical aesthetics industry development
On May 16, the "Luohu Medical Aesthetics Industry High-Quality Cluster Development Seminar and Investment Conference" was held in Shenzhen's Luohu District, aiming to promote the high-quality development of the medical aesthetics industry in the area. During the event, Shenzhen’s first medical aesthetics building was officially unveiled, marking a new phase in the industry's growth in Luohu.
Since December 2023, when Luohu District introduced Shenzhen’s first specialized support policy for the medical aesthetics industry, known as the “Ten Medical Aesthetics Policies,” 21 companies have settled in the district, with three enterprises achieving significant growth. Luohu District is integrating commerce, tourism, culture, sports, and aesthetics, pioneering the introduction of the first medical aesthetics building in Shenzhen. This building is envisioned to create a comprehensive industry ecosystem where businesses across the supply chain can operate within the same structure, fostering industry consolidation and development.
Cao Dequan, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Association of Plastics and Aesthetics, stated that the “Ten Medical Aesthetics Policies” have invigorated the industry, providing clear guidance for high-quality growth and offering businesses a broader development space, while ensuring safer and more regulated services for consumers.
Kong Shu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Luohu District Health Bureau, elaborated on the policies, emphasizing that Luohu District leads Shenzhen in terms of industry scale, technical expertise, and influence. The district has established a medical aesthetics cluster along the Luohu Port-Wenjindu area, solidifying its leadership position and laying a strong foundation for continued prosperity and innovation.
Wang Xiaolu, President of the Shenzhen Association of Plastics and Aesthetics, noted that the industry is experiencing unprecedented growth opportunities due to advancements in technology and rising consumer aesthetics standards. However, challenges such as market regulation and consumer rights protection remain, necessitating collective efforts for the industry's sustainable development.
During the conference, companies like Beijing Kuaishou Technology Co., Shanghai Weili Medical Aesthetics Development Co., and Shenzhen GSD Technology Co. signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Luohu District Health Bureau. Moving forward, Luohu District will leverage its unique advantages in the medical aesthetics field to promote the development of industry clusters, helping to establish Shenzhen as a "City of Medical Aesthetics."
