Liantang Port included in Guangdong's 144-hour visa-free transit policy
Recently, Liantang Port was newly included in Guangdong province's 144-hour visa-free transit policy, aiming to enhance the seamless cross-border movement of people within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
As the youngest comprehensive land port connecting Guangdong and Hong Kong, Liantang Port has attracted numerous travelers since the commencement of its travel inspection services on Feb. 6, 2023. Many travelers prefer it due to its advantageous geographical location, convenient customs clearance procedures, and relatively low transportation costs.
With the rollout of the latest transit visa-free policy, it is anticipated that more foreign visitors will opt for Liantang Port for transit. The Liantang Border Inspection Station has proactively prepared for this influx and will continue to refine clearance processes to facilitate seamless entry and exit, thereby accelerating the integrated development of the GBA.
