Luohu shines in youth rock climbing competition
The 2024 National Youth Rock Climbing Open (Jiangshan, Zhejiang) and the 2024 Asian Youth Rock Climbing Championships Selection Event concluded successfully from April 12 to 14.
For the first time, the Luohu district rock climbing team participated in the national event. Chen Jixuan, a team member, stood out with remarkable results, securing third place in the U13 speed category and sixth overall. Alongside teammate Wu Runxi, Chen earned a coveted spot to represent China in the 2024 Asian Youth Rock Climbing Championships.
Hosted by the Mountaineering Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Mountaineering Association, the event attracted 106 teams and 667 athletes nationwide.
In recent years, Luohu has attached great importance to the c comprehensive development of youth sports and actively promoted various sporting activities. Rock climbing, known for its challenges and spectacle, has gained popularity among the youth. The outstanding performance of the Luohu district rock climbing team in this event marks a historic achievement. It is expected to inspire more young people to engage in rock climbing actively, continually striving for higher, faster, and stronger goals, thus bringing further glory to Luohu's youth sports.
