Luohu welcomes global investment with pro-business policies
Luohu held an investment promotion activity on Dec. 12.
Luohu Party Chief Liu Sheng introduced Luohu’s new industrial space, new industries, and new services at the opening ceremony of the activity.
“A promising and completely new Luohu is within your reach where you can realize your dream,” Liu told the participants of the event.
Fan Defan, district mayor of the Luohu District People’s Government, introduced the district’s land resources and future development plans.
During the activity, Luohu expounded its pro-business policies and strengths. It also unveiled 12 plots of land, covering 18.9 hectares, for global investment, and appointed 10 industrial development consultants for the district’s economic growth.
Luohu attracted 50 key projects this year with a total investment of 83.3 billion yuan ($13.09 billion), and 20 project representatives signed investment agreements during the activity.
The projects of the activity mainly target software and information technology, intelligent terminals, new materials, bio-medicine, finance, business circulation, safety, and energy efficiency and environmental protection.
Luohu is becoming one of the first choices for Hong Kong enterprises to invest in the Chinese mainland. Six of the 20 representatives attending this event came from Hong Kong.
According to the Luohu district government, its cooperation with Hong Kong enterprises mainly focuses on strategic emerging industries, new information technology, bio-medicine, translation of scientific and technological achievements, cross-border finance, professional services, and youth development, among others.
Luohu has strengthened institutional innovation, convergence of rules and industrial integration between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and enhanced support for Hong Kong talent, which have attracted more Hong Kong enterprises to settle in the district.
The businesspeople attending the activity spoke highly of Luohu’s advantages and strengths in servicing the businesses, including professional government staff, convenient transport, and adjacency to Hong Kong.
