Shenzhen Art Museum’s new venue opens on Nov 6
The new Shenzhen Art Museum opened on Nov. 6, featuring a total of eight exhibitions and one international forum. The newly unveiled venue is located in the business center area of the Shenzhen North Railway Station, with a building area of 66,000 square meters, exhibition halls covering 20,000 square meters, a semi-outdoor sculpture exhibition area of 3,900 square meters, and 18 art galleries.
Fan Di'an, chairman of the China Artists Association, pointed out that the opening of the new venue is a significant achievement in the construction of national art museums in the new era, representing a milestone in the development of Chinese art.
Zhang Hua, vice mayor of Shenzhen, stated that since 2018, Shenzhen has been planning and constructing "major cultural facilities of the new era," including the new Shenzhen Art Museum, to create a cluster of world-class cultural landmarks.
