Luohu’s development praised by Hong Kong delegation
A group of 50 people from various walks of life in Hong Kong, including some civil servants, lawmakers, and political advisors, paid an inspection to Luohu on July 14.
They visited the Liantang Port and the Shenzhen Jewelry Museum in Luohu, speaking highly of the fast and convenient customs clearance procedure and the remarkable development of the district’s gold and jewelry industries.
The purpose of the trip was to commemorate the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland and the 450th anniversary of the founding of Xinan county, a jurisdiction founded during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) in the current region of Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
The ongoing Luohu Shenzhen-Hong Kong Culture Month activity also provided the Hong Kong visitors with a good opportunity to see the huge potential of cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two sides.
